KCE Trials was delighted to see the results of the ADVOR (Acetazolamide in Decompensated heart failure with Volume OveRload) study presented at the European Society of Cardiology meeting last weekend and simultaneously published in the NEJM. The results were also covered in the Belgian press. The results of the ADVOR study will improve the treatment of heart failure patients in Belgium and beyond. We would like to congratulate Prof Dr Mullens and the whole ADVOR team, the 27 Belgian participating hospitals and thank all the participants and their families for contributing to this important research.
The ADVOR study was funded by the Belgian Health Care Knowledge Centre (KCE) as part of its KCE Trials funding programme of pragmatic comparative effectiveness and drug repurposing clinical trials. Check here to find about all other funded studies.
