KCE Reports 421C (2026)

KCE Reports 381C (2024) Forecasts of future spending on medicines are currently based mainly on past spending and trends. However, this approach does not adequately predict the impact of very expensive emerging drugs, such as cell and gene therapies. To identify those products and prepare the system for their arrival, the pharmaceutical pipeline needs to be systematically monitored. This is known as horizon scanning. KCE has issued recommendations to better predict future spending on pharmaceuticals, with particular emphasis on horizon scanning.

KCE Reports 341C (2021) Add-on to “Performance of the Belgian health system – report 2019” This report is an add-on to a previous KCE report published in 2019 that assessed the performance of the Belgian health system (KCE Report 313). 

KCE Reports 312C (2019) In 2018, the Planning Unit for the Healthcare Professions (Cellule Planification de l’Offre des Professions des Soins de Santé / Cel Planning van het Aanbod van de Gezondheidszorgberoepen) published a future scenario on the evolution of midwifery staffing levels for the period 2014-2039.

KCE Reports 290C (2017) The KCE has been asked by the Medical Supply Planning Commission to help define strategies to improve the medical supply projection model. KCE’s contribution has been to study this scientific model, to gather the opinions and criticisms of all the actors concerned about the parameters of the current model and to make recommendations to improve those parameters in the future.
