Bevacizumab (Avastin®) is a drug used in combination with chemotherapy in ovarian cancer. It keeps the tumor under control for longer, but because of its serious side effects, it decreases the overall quality of life (short-term) of most patients … without it being possible to prove that it increases their total survival.
