Management of pancreatic cancer: capita selecta
KCE Reports 286C (2017)
For several years, KCE has been collaborating with the College of Oncology to develop recommendations for good practice on different types of cancers. Pancreatic cancer had already been the subject of recommendations in 2009, but it became necessary to update them, at least on a few specific questions: the diagnostic tests to be preferred, the need to administer a treatment (radio or chemotherapy) before surgery and the strategy to adopt in case of recurrence.
Our Cancer Clinical Practice Guidelines are the basis for developing quality improvement programs in consultation with the Cancer Registry Foundation and the College of Oncology.
