Planned study - This study aims to develop a practical normative ethical framework for the evaluation of screening and early detection programs, which can serve as a basis for future KCE reports and related policy-making processes. The framework will include a typology of different forms of screening and early testing, as well as an analysis of the key ethical issues and normative considerations they raise, both from a public health perspective and at the level of individual patients and their families. A first application of this framework will be carried out within the ongoing KCE report on lung cancer screening.
